Location: St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church, Beachwood, Ohio
Reports To: Session

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and spiritually mature Pastor to lead our congregation. The
Pastor will be responsible for providing spiritual leadership through preaching,
teaching, and pastoral care. They will guide the church in living out its faith in the
community and growing in its relationship with God.
St Mark’s Church is a House of Prayer that is open to all. In a world coping with

Key Responsibilities:
Worship Leadership
- Prepare and deliver Christ-centered, biblically grounded sermons each Sunday.
- Plan and lead worship services in collaboration with church staff and volunteers.
- Administer the sacraments of Communion and Baptism.
- Officiate weddings, funerals, and other special services as needed.
Pastoral Care
- Provide spiritual counseling, visitation, and care to members and the wider community.●
- Support individuals and families in times of crisis, illness, or grief.
- Nurture relationships with all age groups within the congregation.
Leadership and Administration
- Moderate the Session and provide leadership in church governance.
- Collaborate with staff and ministry leaders to support and guide church programming.
- Participate in strategic planning and vision casting for the church’s growth and outreach.
- Ensure alignment of church operations with Presbyterian polity and denominational standards.
Discipleship and Teaching
- Promote spiritual growth through Bible studies, small groups, and Christian education.
- Equip lay leaders for ministry through training and mentoring.
- Encourage intergenerational involvement in church life and mission.
Community Engagement and Outreach
● Represent the church in local ecumenical and civic organizations.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and new members.
- Support mission initiatives both locally and globally.
Qualifications:
- Ordained (or ordainable) in a recognized Presbyterian
- Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or equivalent from an accredited seminary.
- Demonstrated preaching, leadership, and pastoral care experience.
- Deep commitment to Reformed theology and Presbyterian polity.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- A shepherd’s heart with a servant-leader mindset.

Compensation:
Commensurate with experience and denominational guidelines. Includes salary, housing allowance, benefits, and professional development support.
