Invitation to Serve - St. John's United Church of Christ is an open and affirming congregation that is very active in meeting the needs of marginalized persons in the community. We are a very outward facing and community interactive church. When needs arise in the community, we are on the front lines coordinating with the community on how best to address the needs presented to us. Our small congregation is more active than our numbers would suggest. Our congregation prides itself in the impact we have had with the unhoused, the LGBTQIA+ community, and those with food insecurities. We hope to continue to meet the needs of these communities as well as expand on the ministries we are involved in with the support of other faith communities in Shiawassee County. We are searching for a pastor who shares our passion for marginalized individuals and will actively seek opportunities to serve and expand these ministries.
