Pastor (solo) – Massillon – Ohio

We are seeking a full-time pastor who aligns with and wants to provide leadership to our vision and values.

Our ideal candidate will be expected to have experience in the following areas:

• • Corporate worship including proclamation of the word and administration of sacraments

• • Special worship services

• • Spiritual development of members of the congregation

• • Congregation home visitations

• • Hospital and emergency visits

• • Experience in working with community outreach and local missions

• • Counseling

• • Evangelism

• • Involvement in Mission

• • Educational programs

• • Relationships and responsibility with Presbytery and church session

• • Administrative leadership.

• • Together with session develop a plan on growing the church

• • Congregational communications

• Participation and engagement in cultural, educational, social and community organizations

• Two Gatherings were held on a Saturday morning in February and March of 2025 for members to come together to discuss our past, our present and our future. 40 members attended Gathering I and 55 members attended Gathering II.  The information from the gatherings was printed in two reports and shared with the church family. Session finalized the vision, value statements and three strategic priorities in July of 2025. The strategic priorities for the next 3 to 5 years will help us achieve our vision and live our values. Enhance our Outreach programs to work towards making lasting improvements in people’s lives, in addition to addressing emergency needs. Develop a marketing plan to educate our community on who we are and what we can do. Develop new ministries and approaches that will attract and appeal to our unchurched neighbors. These priorities represent our commitment to the population of Massillon and the surrounding areas.
