The Presbytery of Genesee Valley (PGV) includes 51 congregations and 3 new worshipping communities in 5 counties (Livingston, Genesee, Monroe, Orleans and Wyoming) of west-central New York including the city of Rochester. Our vision is centered around forming and nurturing healthy, vital, sustainable congregations and leaders who know Christ, live Christ and share Christ. PGV encompasses leaders and congregations across the theological spectrum and is proud of its heritage as the first presbytery in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) to practice LGBT inclusion of ministers of Word and Sacrament.
