Solo Pastor – Millbury – Ohio

Eastminster United Presbyterian Church (EUPC) and St. Peter’s United Church of Christ (SPUCC) are seeking a Pastor to be called and installed. This Pastor will help guide both congregations by providing spiritual nurturing of the members of the two congregations, helping the congregations focus on God’s purpose for ministering to the people of their respective communities/families, and assisting in discerning God’s plan for the future of the “marriage” between the two congregations.

EUPC and SPUCC entered into a shared ministry agreement in 2021 under the leadership of our previous pastor. The pastor was responsible for separate worship services at each church located approximately seven miles apart. During summer months we had one combined service as well as during Lent, Easter, and Christmas. Additionally, we joined together for other fellowship and community events.

EUPC sold their building and relocated to the St. Peter’s church in November 2024. A shared use (nesting) agreement was prepared and has been implemented. Two separate worship services remained for a brief period of time. After prayerful consideration and discussion with leadership from both congregations we implemented a single Sunday worship service on March 9, 2025.

After a time of prayer, listening, and working together each church appointed/elected three members to form a Pastoral Nominating Committee (PNC). The PNC has the responsibility to identify and recommend a pastor candidate to the congregations. Late in 2024, both congregations were surveyed; the results of the surveys were tabulated and prayerfully considered to create this job description.
